How To Recognize a Work At Home Scam

We've all searched the Internet for the quick get rich work from home opportunities, which is just the problem! We can't expect that some program or business opportunity is going to make us rich within a few days.
  • The first sign that a work from home program is a scam is if they promise to make you a large amount of money in a short period of time. Most legit online work from home jobs will only pay you an average of $7-$15 an hour or on a pay per project basis. Also please note that almost ALL work from home jobs are independent contracting jobs where you will need to report all income earned and pay your own taxes.
  • The second sign of a scam is if you have to pay any money whatsoever. Never will you ever have to pay to work. You can not always believe what you read. It doesn't matter what they say you'll get for free if you purchase their program, or the value of the products you will receive compared to what you will pay.
  • And the third most obvious sign that a work from home job is a scam is if you see the words "Act Now", "Limited Time Offer", "Only 10 More Spots Left". Do not fall for this sense of urgency. Most websites that are scams will also list "members" testimonials which are fake and deceiving.

If it sounds to good to be true, then it probably is! Be very cautious when exploring the Internet for work from home opportunities.
